How your lucky chart is calculated
We compute the real positions of the Sun, Moon, Jupiter and Saturn at your birth moment with the open-source Astronomy Engine (checked against NASA/JPL Horizons to within a few arcseconds), then apply four traditions:
- Western astrology — your exact tropical Sun sign, its ruling planet, the classical zodiac stones recorded by gem historian George F. Kunz (1913) and the official modern birthstones.
- Vedic astrology — your sidereal ascendant (Lahiri ayanamsa), Moon sign and nakshatra. Your life, lucky and fortune gems come from the lords of the 1st, 5th and 9th houses.
- Chinese zodiac — your animal and element from the exact Chinese New Year date, with lucky numbers, colors and directions and the classical harmonies and clashes between animals.
- Numerology — your life path number and Cheiro’s birth number (1926), with its lucky days, colors and stones.
Each item in your chart shows which traditions support it. When traditions disagree, the result favours what most of them share.

Is the lucky chart really free?
Yes. The chart is calculated entirely on your phone or computer with astronomical formulas — no AI, no account and no payment.
Do you store my name or birth data?
No. Your details never leave your device: we do not send them to any server, save them or put them in the page address. Closing the page erases them.
Why is the birth time required?
Your Vedic ascendant (Lagna) changes roughly every two hours and your Moon’s nakshatra about once a day. Without the time, the Vedic gemstones could be wrong.
Why is my Vedic sign different from my Western sign?
Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, tied to the seasons. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, tied to the stars, which today is shifted about 24°. That is why many people have a different sign in each system — and Vedic gem advice is based on your ascendant and Moon, not your Sun.
What happens when the systems disagree?
Each system proposes stones, colors and numbers, and your chart ranks them by how many traditions agree. If your Vedic ascendant does not favour a gem, it is left out even if another system suggests it, and the detail explains why.
